What is a facial?A facial is a skin treatment for your face.
-
What does a facial do for the skin?A facial is designed to cleanse, exfoliate and nourish the skin. This helps to promote a clear, hydrated complexion and can help your skin look and feel younger.
-
Does everyone get the same treatment? No. There are various facial treatments that can be performed based on your skin type and needs.
-
What if I don’t know what my skin type is?No worries. After cleansing the skin your esthetician will do a skin analysis to determine your skin type.
-
How long are facials?Depending on the type of facial you choose it can take 30-90 minutes.
-
How often should I get a facial?Every 3-4 weeks.
-
Can I get a facial if I have a cold sore? No. A cold sore is a highly contagious viral infection.
-
Why is waxing better than shaving?Waxing removes the hair from the root so it leaves the skin smoother and takes longer to grow back. Shaving only cuts the hair on top of the skin so it can grow back within hours.
-
Will waxing make my hair grow back thicker?Absolutely not. Waxing removes the hair from the root, sometimes taking the follicle as well. It is because of this that the hair actually grows back thinner and much slower.
-
Is Waxing Painful? It can be but it is not unbearable. It will never be painless but after the first time you will know what to expect.
-
Is there anything I can do to help with the pain?If you have an extremely low pain tolerance you can take 2 Advils 20-30 mins before your service.
-
How long does waxing take?Depending on the service, it could take up to 45 minutes (face services=5-10 mins, bikini=15-30 mins, back/legs= 30-45 mins)
-
Should I shave before getting waxed?NO! You should wait at least 2-3 weeks after shaving before you get waxed.
-
How long does the hair need to be?The length of a grain of rice (it’s really not that long) or a ¼ inch
-
Will I get ingrown hairs from waxing?Waxing helps decrease ingrown hairs. Proper aftercare will prevent ingrown hairs.
-
What is the difference in bikini and Brazilian waxes? The butt strip is the big difference. Guests can remove as much or little hair as they want from the bikini area. Brazilian waxing is completely removing all the hair including the butt strip.
-
Do you offer Brazilian waxing for men?Yes, I call it manscaping.
-
Can I wax my entire body? You can wax any part of your body which you desire except for your head (scalp).
-
How should I care for freshly waxed skin?Do not bother it for at least 24 hours. After that be sure to exfoliate every 2-3 days and moisturize the skin daily.
-
Will I get red or have bumps? It is very likely. But the skin will calm down within 24-48 hours
-
Should I exfoliate before or after my wax? Both. Exfoliating the day before your service helps the hair come out more easily. You should continue exfoliating every 2-3 days after waxing especially when the hair grows back. That will help prevent in-grown hairs.
-
How often should I get a wax?Depends on the area. Brows/lip:3-6 weeks, chin/underarms: 2-3 weeks, back/bikini/legs: 4-6 weeks
-
I want to get waxed for my wedding/prom/vacation. Any advice? If you have never been waxed before then I advise you to give it a trial run 1-2 months ahead of time so you will know how your skin will react. If you have been waxed before it is best to schedule your appointment 3-5 days before your event or vacation.
-
My child wants to get waxed, what age is acceptable to start?"That is up to the parent. I personally am not comfortable performing a bikini wax on minors without their parent/guardian present.
-
I am overweight/have stretch marks/or am otherwise uncomfortable with my body. Should I still consider body waxing?Yes, you should. Everyone has imperfections and you have to learn to love yourself regardless.

Many people are uncomfortable with their bodies and even more so with a stranger looking at their intimate areas. This is a judgment-free zone and I do my best to make each and every guest feel comfortable. If you have questions do not be afraid nor ashamed to ask. When you leave your appointment you will have a new level of confidence.
